The gentle rocking motion of the boat, combined with the salty air, lulled Elias into a state of tranquility. He was out on the ocean, fishing. The vast expanse of blue, the cries of seagulls, and the rhythmic lapping of waves against the hull had an unparalleled ability to calm his soul. The sun beat down on his face, and he closed his eyes briefly, inhaling deeply.

He cast his line out, the metallic click of the reel a familiar sound. Suddenly, a notification appeared on his phone. A photo from a friend. A photo of a local art fair. There, on a wall, was his large canvas, the one he had painted last summer and hung in his house.

He sighed, a barely audible sound swallowed by the wind. He reeled in his line, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Ah, the art world," he murmured, a hint of something resembling bemusement in his tone.
